I’ve noticed two changes and I haven’t seen any blog post or article about them. I could be seeing something that has been going on for a few weeks/month but to me, I think these are some amazing changes to both embedded YouTube videos and Google Image Search.

Below you’ll see the first change, that is to YouTube’s embedded videos. They added a search box! I think this is an amazing way to increase the advertising dollars for YouTube, just like Google makes money through search, it looks like YouTube is trying to increase it’s ability to make money. Since it’s owned by Google now, the best way Google knows how to make money is via search results. So, here is the image below.

It’s a very smart move of YouTube/Google, since more searches means more money for them. Props to YouTube. I’m not sure how long this has been going on (embedded search box) but it’s a very smart move and long awaited feature.

Also, another change I’m not sure if others have seen this change to Google Images but it’s a first for me. As you can seen in the screen capture that on the top Google added a search box. Before that was never available.

Again here is a close up view of this screen shot.

Has this been happening for a while? I have no idea but I doubt both have been around more than 2 weeks, unless I guess I missed this some how. What do you think?

[Postscript] I misspelled a word and Google did something new again. This time with showing the ‘correct’ spelling. This has to be breaking news.

So, what do you guys think? Good or bad for Google? I think all 3 are improvements! Bringing MORE value to #1 listings.
