Welcome back!

Of course, there are no analytics data that is perfect but saying something is free should give you red flags. Being affordable is a whole other story. :)

Google Analytics is a free site stats online application that thousand of webmasters use due to budget restraints. Some say their stats are down and out WRONG but uncovering the full of the story was from iMediaConnection. They stated Google willingly, after they bought Urchin, tried to fix a mistake but ended up keeping things the old/incorrect way. Incorrect meaning the stats you get from Google are WRONG. Yes, totally wrong. Purposefully wrong. It’s like asking a blind man to see through his left eyes, that’s just WRONG! (And cruel might I add :P ).

Brandt from iMediaConnection stated this was in July 2007. So for an entire year solid, you’ve been fed wrong information from Google about your website. This is outrageous, not only because they intentionally went back to the flawed data but because the Google Analytics team doesn’t disclose this. They are hiding their mess ups. Millions of webmasters use Google Analytics even if they have a large budget.

When there is a monopoly people should fear. Why? Because it can cause a company to be less transparent, less honest, less innovative, and hurt others along the way due to their own flaws. I encourage you, get another analytics program. I run about 5, so that I can get multi-perspectives on my visitors.

There are some affordable alternatives like Clicky, Mint, Hitslink, and 103bees. If your a high level website, choose Omniture or Clicktracks.
